I have finished moving my tv from the North wall to the South wall of my living room.  I am painting three walls a warm tan.  Those 4 lag bolts really did the damage on the wall.  But a little putty and sanding and they all disappeared.  With this wall finished I have two to go.

canvas prayers

This prayer canvas was started at Trinity Lutheran church.  Then it made it through ELCA synod.  Each square is a prayer that was written or pictured by someone.  Then it was taken on the Lutheran trip to India.  In India church members were encouraged to write or paint a block representing a prayer.  .  After that when the group was leaving to return to America the canvas was cut in half and half was left with the church members in India.  I was asked to help preserve the pieces as some of the blocks needed to be sewn down. 

New furniture

I have ordered my new furniture for the living room.  My furniture that I have now is just too big for the size of my room.  I have been here three years and it is time to change.  That means that I have to change the TV from the North wall to the South wall.  When I changed the wiring down stairs which I remind you should have be a simple switch of  the living room wires I lost reception on two of my three TVs.  So after many calls to Paul Bunyan where they had me reset this and reset that,  I just asked for a technician to come out and look into it.  While he was working on it he switched some wires and I lost my wireless computer.  The technician had already left when I discovered it.  I had to call him back.  When he returned he fixed what he had changed.  He also found he had left one of his tools  in my basement.  You'll see my furniture when it gets delivered after March 21st.  I still have to fix the North wall that had my TV on.  Spackle and paint.

I have been working on notebook covers.  They are easy to do.  I will be giving them as gifts.  They have hook and loop closure. Also have a convenient holder for a pen or pencil.  Great for book clubs, quilting notes or notes for someone on a board. 

Homemakers council Meeting

The Homemakers council met at Frohm town hall.

 

 

Code red was the topic of our speaker at our Homemakers council meeting.  Beryl Wernberg, 911  supervisor/EM Director spoke to us.  We found her to be an informed speaker and a joy to listen to.  She told hands on stories from her 39 years as a dispatcher.  Anyone that wasn't registered had a chance to do so.  She did answer why we found ourselves getting Code red notices without officially signing up.  When they first started they put all the telephone numbers from the county into the system.
