World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer and action each year. This year looks for the Christian response to struggles in France concerning immigration and ways to welcome the stranger. Our speaker gave us a first hand look at France from the prospective of an American visiting this country. This year the Methodist church of Bemidji held the event. Next year it is First Lutheran that will host the event. Egypt is the country we will be studying.
