This little bird hit my sliding glass window so hard I thought he was dead. But he was just stunned. He stayed there for three hours. I watched that no cat got him. I really didn't think he had a chance for recovery. I tried to look him up in my bird book. No success. I think he is a white throated sparrow. But finally he took wing and flew away.
