Packing day
Monday was packing day at First Lutheran Church. We will be shipping our donations to Lutheran World Relief early in December. I helped with the quilts. We packed 37 quilts for shipment over seas. We packed just under 40 for distribution locally. Others worked on school kits. layettes, health kits and sewing kits. It always feels good to help others especially locally considering how cold it has been. After we finished packing we drove to all the places that we deliver quilts. Locally we give to Churches United, Peoples Church, Village of Hope and the Battered Women organization. It is fun to see the smiles on the faces of those who will be distributing them to those that need them.
