The Carnegie Library is more than a building. It's a brick and stone testament to the spirit of early citizens of Bemidji, and their shared endeavor to provide not only books, but a place where the whole community could gather, debate, listen and learn. The Carnegie Library was Andrew Carnegie's gift to us.
There is a drive to make the funds necessary to save this building and to bring our Carnegie along with us into its second century to grace out lake shore and enhance our city. Look for opportunities to help with this project.
