We spent 5 hours at the floating dock on the south side of Lake Bemidji. This dock is positioned where the Mississippi River enters the lake. We caught one perch which was 12 inches long. It was interesting 5 hours as one of the men on the dock cast and caught the bridge. We had to go up and cut the line and save his lure. We really got a laugh out of that. That is a long cast. The kids really had a great time. They never want to leave. We always pack a lunch and each person is responsible for their own lunch - making it and getting it to the fishing spot. But we enjoyed ourselves.
