Homemakers Christmas party

the gifts we made for our guest are behind the pies

This is my personal favorite event of the Hubbard Mothers homemakers circle.  We each donate a portion of the food for the dinner.  We serve turkey and all the fixings.  I am in charge of the pies.    We invite the elderly from Becida around 12 people and have a Christmas party for them.  We make them gifts.  This year it was the lighted glass building blocks.  We each bring 24 pieces of either candy or cookies from which we make plates of goodies that they get to take home.   We also do our gift exchange from our secret pal which is revealed to us that night.  It is so much fun.  The food is delicious.  We also have a short program which reveals some aspect of the true meaning of Christmas.  This year we sang carols and a club member would read a short history of that Christmas Carol.  So far we still have Christ in our Christmas gathering.
