This one of the two mitten trees that First Lutheran church puts up yearly. Everyone is encouraged to place mittens, hats, scarves, and even socks on the trees. As the trees get full they lay their offering on the tree skirt at the bottom. This tree is in the gathering area and the other is in the fellowship hall. Then the items are brought to the institutions that distribute them to those in need. People crochet, knit or buy the items donated. There are other places in town that have mitten trees. Now is the time they need our donations.
