The first event of the new season of the Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club is called the Dust Off. It was a fun event. We met at Horace May School. We drove to Walker on the back roads. Fifty miles per hour is the speed that we maintained. Our destination was the the Ranch House Restaurant. It is a good feeling stepping back in time. I rode with my friends Wilda and Larry that own a 1967 Ponitac Firebird. They were the original owners of this car. Where as I was appreciative of being asked to ride with on the Dust Off, the back seat isn't what we it is all cracked up to be. There is no extra room. The legend of the "Back Seat" of a car in the 50's speaks for itself. But after spending sometime in the back seat I think that it is an urban legend. There isn't much room back there to accomplish much.
