I love to feed the birds. I have about 25 species of birds that come to my feeders. Along with the normal variety of seeds I feed suet balls and peanut butter on slices of toast with seeds liberally covering the bread. I've even attracted a pair of piliated woodpeckers to my feeder.
One night I was again awakened.This time by a rhythmic thumping noise. I peeked and saw a bobcat jumping up to get the hanging suet ball. I watched him jump until he noticed me and he ran off. Needless to say I don't wonder around outside during the night.
