This table runner had more new techniques than any quilt that I have done in the last year. It took me two weeks to complete and look how small it is. The three sunflowers in the middle stand up and curl into leaves and petals. There are 5 layers of leaves and petals stacked one on another. The flowers stand 2-3 inches away from the runner itself. Each of the layers are outlined (top stitched) with different metallic threads that make them gleason and shine. My machine does not like metallic thread. I truely love it. I will put it on my table this fall. Maybe I will enter this one in the fair next august. Can you spell winner.
